Belleek Activities
Fishing.
Fishing is one of the most common activities in Ireland. Belleek village itself is situated on Lough Erne making it an excellent location for anglers. Lough Erne has an abundant variety of fish inclusing trout, perch, roach, bream, pike, and salmon. There are other nearby lakes in the area including Lough Melvin. Fishing permits are required but may be obtained through the Erne Gateway Centre in the village.

Shopping.
Belleek village has a wide variety of shops. As well as the usual sources for food and household supplies, there are many shops catering to the tourist trade with small souvenirs and knick-naks. There is also the Belleek Pottery shop selling the full range of Belleek China - this is located at the pottery itself. Friendly staff are on hand in all the village shops and will be more than delighted to assist you.
Walking.
To really take in the beauty of the local countryside around Belleek village, the best way is to go walking. There are many forest trails including those at Castle Caldwell and Lough Navar. The Ulster Way trail passes through both of these areas and is marked by sign-posts.
Outdoor Pursuits.
For the more adventurous among you, take a trip to the Lough Melvin Holiday Centre in Garrison (5 miles from Belleek village) where you can take part in windsurfing, canoeing, hiking and other similar activities.
Cruising.
If your interested in cruising up and down Lough Erne or even the entire Shannon-Erne Waterway, then you can hire a cruiser at the Erne Gateway centre from Belleek Charter Cruising. The centre also has a lot of local tourist information and is worth a visit even if you do not intend to hire a cruiser, it can also provide you with information on travelling to other parts of Ireland.
